Homeless Night - May 16thHOMELESS OVERNIGHT is Saturday, May 16th! St. John’s Senior High is having our annual Homeless Awareness Overnight on Saturday, May 16th starting at 6 PM. We are meeting on the east lawn. This is an event to raise money for Habitat for Humanity and give the youth an experience of homelessness. Our youth are asked to bring a Permission Slip - some simple snacks and water - warm clothes - sleeping bag - and their own BOXES to make their shelter for the night.   Permission Form: Homeless Night Permission Form

graduation-cap2.gifSenior/Graduate Appreciation Luncheon is Sunday, May 31st! All seniors and graduates are invited to a special LUNCHEON and Blessing on Sunday, May 31st. We will have a recognition and blessing at the 10:15 COJ Worship and then follow with a luncheon for the graduates and their families in the Parish Life Center. Please get this registration RSVP with a PHOTO as soon as possible to Steve Terry in the Youth Office.

THANKSThe Work Camp Garage Sale was very successful. We raised over $5000 for this year’s Work Camp. We also provided an invaluable service to the local community. There were numerous instances where people of great need were very thankful for the opportunity to provide for their family during these very difficult times. Thank you to Cindy Music, Jeff Samp and Colette Farner for all of their hard work to make this a successful event. Thank you also to everyone who dontated items and to all of the youth and their families who worked. God’s blessings to you for your generosity and kindness.

Work Camp 2009The next Work Camp Meeting is Sunday, April 19th at 6 PM (LIGHT) in the Parish Life Center. Please NOTE that this is the THIRD week of the month. The second week is EASTER. We will first worship together at LIGHT and then have the meeting. REGULAR PROGRAMING

Claiming Him As Our Savior on Wednesday NightsCHAOS - Claiming Him As Our Savior - is our Wednesday Night Senior High Ministry program. We meet from 6:45 to 8:30  PM in the Fellowship Hall of the Church during the school year. During the summer we have our Summer CHAOS which meets at Underwood Park from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. A typical night of CHAOS will include 30 - 40 teens gathering for social time until 7 PM and then engaging in acitivties, illustrations, videos and music about typical faith and teen topics.
Starting next Fall, the Youth Ministry Board Student Ministers will be leading 4 to 6 CHAOS nights during each semester.

Extreme Faith Bible Study on Sunday morningsEXTREME FAITH Bible Study - meets on Sunday mornings from 9:15 to 10:15 AM in the Youth Room at the Church. This Bible study includes current biblical video series and discussions led by adult leaders. This bible study includes a video, music and discussions on various teen topics seen through the lens of God’s Good News.
The Extreme Faith Bible Study will be meeting during the school year and take the summer off.

LIGHT Worship on Sunday nightsLIGHT Worship - Living In God’s House Together - is a YOUTH worship service on the second Sunday of the month at 6 PM in the Parish Life Center. This service is high energy especially for all Youth and their families with Christian praise songs, youth directed sermon, and lots of interesting ways in which to praise God our loving Father. This service highlights high school youth, junior high, college and young adults in the various ministries. It is intended to be for the whole congreation with a special emphasis on the Youth and their style of Praise.
