What is Outreach?
Outreach strives to reach people searching for a home in Christ and a place where questions of faith can openly be addressed.

Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels unawares. Hebrews 13:2

Outreach servant opportunities include:

  • Create awareness of St. John’s by developing advertising strategies.
  • Support ministries of hospitality in the name of Christ.
  • Facilitate promotions for special projects and worship services.
  • Design and oversee signage throughout the church.
  • Assist with “Discovering St. John’s” new member classes and assimilation.
  • Work with Small Group Ministry to ensure members “get connected”.
  • Assist Newborn Ministry, which delivers gifts to first-of-the-month newborns at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
  • Partner with Faith Walkers program to provide information and welcome first time visitors.
  • Schedule greeters and Welcome Center hosts for COJ services.
